Fast Cars are recording a new project and we want you on board from the start!

In the band’s most ambitious project yet, Di and Fabian, with assistance from Fast Cars own ‘fifth Beatle’ and studio guru, David Chapman, are setting out to create an album length song cycle. (Did someone say concept album or rock opera?)

Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Phil Spector, Beck, Chic, Marvin Gaye, The Beach Boys, Blondie, Joan Jett, Garbage, Motown, The Like and the Black Keys. What do these artists have in common? They are all American musicians who have influenced the songwriting and sounds of Fast Cars and the song cycle titled LAX.

Why LAX?  This Pozible campaign takes its name from our album title ‘LAX’,  which has many meanings. 

Fast Cars has taken about 35 years to get around to recording a proper debut album, so that’s pretty LAX! 

LAX is also the abbreviation for LA International Airport, the western gateway to the USA. The song cycle loosely tells the story of a young creative couple heading to LA to further their careers and what happens there.

We’ll be pulling out all the stops to make this the best thing that Fast Cars has ever done. We plan to present the project in a beautiful package including outstanding photographic images by original Fast Cars drummer and professional photographer, Andrew Southam. 

The album will also include some well chosen classic cover versions, given the Fast Cars MAXIMUM POP treatment. (Don’t bore us, get to the chorus!) Here's a picture clue...

The project will also include a limited edition 7” vinyl single. (One for the collectors!)

Making an album length CD and a 7” single ain't cheap these days, but we're hoping to cover this much of our budget with our pozible campaign...
