Story

Picking Petals is a late coming-of-age story that explores the bittersweet reality of needing to say goodbye in order to move forward. Ali and Willow have been studying in the city for the past few years, but are back in their rural hometown for a wedding. During the reception they steal some wine and a couple of bikes and ride down to the local wharf.  When Ali discovers Willow's plans to move back home, they come to realise that they no longer share the same aspirations and have reached a point in their friendship where their life choices could force them apart.
