Hi everyone we are from Oak Tree Production and this is the crowdfunding video which we have prepared with our hard work. It is to raise money in order to produce our short film video which is focused about a depression person. Recently, there were many suicide cases among the celebrities and citizens due to depression. We started this project in order to tell people that there are people who could help them. They are not alone. 

We are looking forward to your contributions in our project. Please show us some supports because we are only students who are still learning to shoot and edit our footages. We hope to be given this oppurtunity to be able to shoot for the short film if the targeted pledge is achieved. A small contribution goes a long way. You may be the reason why we could be motivated.

The title of the teaser is called “Other End of The Call”. The aim of our short film teaser is to provide an insight of the daily struggles of a depression individual, disguised under their often-misleading expressions. Depression comes in many ways, it is essential for the ones around the depressed to observe the cues, as it may help and save a life. Often, people mistakes depression with sadness or grief, a death of loved ones, ending a relationship are difficult experiences, but it is normal as they still maintain a level of self-esteem, painful feelings, intermixed with positive memories of the deceased; whereas depression would lose to mood, interest and withdrawal from usual activities, a sense of worthlessness. When grief and depression coexist, grief is more severe, lasts longer than grief without depression, despite some overlapping, they are distinguishable, recognize the difference can help depressed to get the needed help, support, or treatment they require.

This is the proposed budget for our shooting throughout this assignment, it consists of Transportation fees, Props, Food, Equipment, and miscellaneous which totals up to RM 950. We intended to get a crowdfund of RM 1000, to ease our production and flow. Since we will shoot at different location, the transport fee will be high a bit for us. The location we set at Puchong and Sg Long. Besides,  we also have to pay the food for our talent and we also need the food for shooting in the video. We also have spent on props and Misc.
