The Adelaide Bike Kitchen has become something of an institution in Adelaide on Wednesday nights, helping people fix their treadlies with the help of an team of volunteers. 

At Adelaide Bike kitchen, we believe in community and we also believe in good music. So we've decided to launch a new monthly event called "Open Bike Night".

The idea is simple. One Thursday Every Month - we'll gather 1 or 2 local musicians to play an intimate set followed by an "open mike format" where people can also have a cheeky jam. It's all about keeping the Adelaide music scene nice & vibrant throughout the year.

So dig deep, and give a little to this great cause, and let's make it a staple event on the Adelaide calendar. 

We're aiming to get to $500 to get the event underway and lock in two sessions of Open Bike Night. 

Here's a rough estimate of our budget so far. 

We estimate that this funding should be able to get us through at least two months of Open Bike Nights, so dig deep and help us fund this for more than year. If go above and beyond our goal, this means that Open Bike night will able to go for longer. 

The $500 will be used for the following:

1.) To pay for bands from a feature artist (We estimate between $50 - $250 per artist depending on size of band)

2) Liquor license For The Night ($78 for a liquor license)

3) P/A Hire and other equipment ($50 a gig, we get mate's rates).  

4) The general running costs of Open Bike Night such as electricity.  ($20-100)

5) APRA License needed when you host a live music event ($80)

5) A Website To Promote the event ($100 yearly fee to build a Wix Website) 

We think the hardest part may be getting people to the door in winter time. But, to be honest, given the turn out at our launch party - we believe that it shouldn't be too much of an issue.  Check out little video below to see more of what it's all about :)
