Gusher is an independent print magazine about rock music, written entirely by women and non-binary people.

Launching last year with our celebrated inaugural print issue, we're proud to return with our bigger and better second edition - featuring more in-depth, high-profile artist interviews, original photography and art from an incredibly talented crew of paid contributors.

BUT... we need your help to go to print! 

All funds raised from pre-order sales via this Pozible campaign will cover the cost of printing Gusher Issue 2. 

ABOUT GUSHER:

Showcasing diverse voices in music journalism, Gusher aims to foster an intelligent and inclusive dialogue about rock music. 

By publishing thoughtful, in-depth features by a diverse crop of writers, we hope to breathe new life into the canon of rock criticism that can, at times, feel stagnant and uninspired.

As an annual print publication, Gusher is about moving away from the current fast-paced nature of online music journalism, instead embracing more nuanced and enduring discussions about music and culture.

ABOUT US:

JULIETTE YOUNGER is the co-editor and art director of Gusher. She is a publicist at an indie record label, drummer and DJ. In addition to running and editing the magazine with Isabella, Juliette also designs the publication and manages all visual branding. 

ISABELLA TRIMBOLI is the co-editor of Gusher. She is a writer, DJ and third year Media and Communications student at the University of Sydney. She organises content, edits copy and writes features for the magazine. 

All funds raised will go towards costs associated with printing the magazine. Our $6,000 target is based on printing quotes for 1000 copies of our 150+ page magazine. 

We have paid all of our contributors for their work by working extra side jobs (no easy feat, but something we think is very important), but as two 21-year-old women without any capital behind us, we need help covering printing costs. 

This is an ‘all or nothing’ campaign: for this fundraiser to work, we need to reach our $6,000 target, or we won’t receive any of the money raised. 

Financing this project is our biggest obstacle. Print is not cheap, but we are dedicated to creating a tangible publication that doesn’t get lost in the online domain. We want to create a collectable publication that is of enduring relevance and value to its readers.

As a team of two who have established, edited, designed and managed every aspect of creating a print magazine entirely on our own, it is safe to say we’ve been stretched in terms of workload. 

What has kept us going is the enthusiasm of our readers and community to support women and non-binary creatives in music. We believe this is an incredibly valuable initiative that we hope you will rally behind!
