15-piece Melbourne based big band ATM15 are about to record their latest CD, a live recording captured over two gigs, to be released as a double album: STANDARDS & SUDDEN DEATH.
ATM15 have been playing regularly around Melbourne for over seven years, being one of the few big bands in Australia to be performing mostly original compositions and arrangements. In that time they have released two albums (Big Band Reborn, and Human Music).
For the latest album, the two performances will be taking place at the Moreland City Band Hall (Cross Street, Brunswick), and will be recorded by Phil Noy. Featuring with the big band will be two guest vocalists Georgie Darvidis and Joshua Kyle.

The Challenges
Although there will obviously be challenges faced when making a new album, we are confident we have what it takes to overcome them. The greatest challenge is purely financing the whole project, and that is why for the first time we are using a crowdfunding platform. Long live original big band jazz!
