I wanted a 5 speed in my old 40 series Landcruiser. This is a popular conversion that I had done before a few times, but this time I wanted to keep my original floor mat. The known solution is to use a gearbox housing from a bj42 lx 5 speed. These are hard to find. The best I could do is get a loan of a top plate and re-manufacture it. I soon realised how this could support the 40 series community. After about 5 years in the making it is ready for production. Be one of the first to own a reproduction top plate. Pre order your top plate and parts and make it possible for other people including myself to own one as well.

What if you do not reach the 70,000 goal?
Your money is not withdrawn and the project does not go ahead.
What about the transfer case leaver and raised inspection cover?
The TC gear leaver just needs a little bending to make it fit. The late 1982 to 1984 already had a raised inspection cover, also a aftermarket fibourglass one is in production. I am currently working with a popular panel maker to get some steel ones made.
You have some realy cool rewards. Can we by them at a regular price?
After the compleated project, an online store is planed. Many of these items will be avalible in the store.
Is the price going to drop after the project is compleated? You can save on tooling costs right?
Sorry to disappoint, price may actually increase. At the moment I am not making a profit. The $220 allocated for tooling per item will become the profit for parteners, distributors, installers and myself.

What if you don't follow through with the project after i have supported it?
As with Pozible's T&C a full refund is required. "Failure to deliver my rewards as stated and on time may leave me in breach of consumer protection law and require me to provide a full refund to my project supporters.
I declare all information I have provided is true and within the laws of my Location. Provision of information later found to be false may lead to the cancellation of my project by Pozible."
There is some degree of trust required here. If my promise is worth anything I promise to deliver all rewards listed on this site. If you feel the project has a fail point please let me know. If you don't trust me, don't fund me.

I have multiple quotes on all areas of the project and budgeted for the most expensive option. At your expense I have carefully considered every expense and possible cost. Let me know if i have not thought of something before it becomes a problem.

Very little. As i intend not to make a loss everything is a little over budgeted. If things work out well for me there may be some left over money in the account. This will be kept untouched for the next 12 months in case of any defects, lost items or return postage costs. After this point it will be used on my current hj47 project and starting an online store for the top plate.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The project has been self-funded to this point, for further progress I need the support of the Toyota 40 series community. The tooling cost for the cast housing is AU$15,000. Your pledge or pre-order helps cover this cost. The project does not intend to make a profit, but at the same time the last thing I want is a loss.

I live in remote WA. The parts will be sent from where they are manufactured in Victoria to save on postage costs. This will involve contracting out the packaging and postage already included in the budget.
International postage. I have included some international postage options. If your country is not included and you belive please it is less than the other option of $100 (calculated with less than 500g from Australia post), please let me know so I can add the correct fees. All international freight is already discounted the 40 dollars budgeted for domestic postage. Any import fees, taxes or duties or payable by the receiver. One raised fiberglass inspection cover. 3 hole design choices.
