The latest addition to the Prince-Wright Production film catalogue, "Red Dirt" is a film about a man, his car, and a struggle against outback Australia and its denizens. The film follows the story of Blair, a young business man, on his way too the deal of a life time, a deal that will set him up for life. However, much like many well laid plans, his journey goes horribly wrong, but he ends up gaining more than money could ever buy.

Our Goals with this film is to showcase the incredible and diverse talent that is brewing within the Perth Film Industry; and too take what we've created(with your help) and show the world! To do this, we've combined with a number of people in an effort to create the most amazing film we can. But to do this, we need your help!

This is our biggest and most ambitious project to date and we're lucky enough to have a whole bunch of beautiful and amazing people wanting to volunteer and help us out so one of your top priorities is to feed and water these selfless heroes, especially since we're filming in the harsh Aussie outback.

On top of all this we'd also like to be able to provide accommodation, food and transport for as little money as possible, so as much money that can go towards making this, the best it can be! So, if you or your business can help in regards to catering or in any other way possible we would appreciate it immensely! Any from of donation can be exchanged for advertising in the credits of the film, and we are open to discussing other methods of advertising! Set construction – $300
Luckily for this production our set demands aren't huge, consisting mainly of old fuel bowsers and a small wooden shack to go along with a busted up caravan. A simple yet complex set. 

Costumes - $200
Due to this project being our biggest yet we're expecting approximately 30 cast members that all need to be fitted out in individual and unique costumes. The bulk of our costume funds will go into our 5 leads with the 10 main supporting cast receiving the next big amount and the rest to our extras. We've set a minimum at $200 for this, hopefully the more we can get the better the costumes and the better our production will be.

Props - $100
Due to the minimalist approach to this film in regards to props, due to the focus being on characters, our prop budget will basically only have to cover furnishing for the shack.


Film Equipment - $800min (ideally $1000)
This year we are in need of some massive equipment, luckily we have a few companies on our side with discount prices and a few friends of Prince-Wright Productions who own certain equipment, but this doesn't mean we have everything we need. Sadly we only have about a ¼ of the equipment. -

Specialize Equipment - $170
-Generator 50Kva Hire-Smoke machine, -Fog Machines, -liquid, -Portable green screen hire, -Portable Gazebo.

Catering - $300
We've calculated that $300 will allow us to provide some basic catering for cast and crew.

Accommodation - $180
The main crew will need to stay on location/near location for the period of filming with actors coming and going as need be. Working out to around $180/$200 for the production period.

We're always enjoy a challenge, and this time, the biggest one is location. We are aiming to film in a rural area that we can take, and transform into the magnificent, imaginary fuel station that our protagonist will be stuck in. To find a suitable location we will have to go up north quite a way, taking with us our large cast, and all the equipment. With this comes literal mountains of paperwork, monstrous organisation and an immense amount of time.

Accommodation for the main crew should not be a problem, but working around everyone's availability, and when extras and non-main roles will be required will prove to be the biggest challenge. Luckily, our esteemed heads of department will no doubt prove to be invaluable with their training and experience enabling them to cover for one and other, if other commitments appear.

Costuming for a huge cast is hard enough let alone building and transporting a small set out in the middle of nowhere.
