It’s time for ALBUM #4!!!
This time an ALBUM of COVERS: titled “Cover to Cover”
I have recorded the entire album ALREADY!!!!! 6 days with Sean Carey at Trackdown Studios Sydney, 12 tracks, BAM the album is recorded!
LISTEN RIGHT NOW: Dreams - Fleetwood Mac
Why a cover album? I wanted to share the “Jen-ified” versions of songs from artists I’ve been inspired by: Tracy Chapman, Cold Chisel, Fleetwood Mac, The Waifs, Joni Mitchell, John Lennon, and more.
I played a beautiful handmade guitar by Papa C, the harmonica and piano, and added some deep tones from the baritone guitar I made in Italy last year. Sean has added gorgeous lead guitar, harmonies, bass, and percussion.
There are some other surprises too. It’s somewhere between stripped back and built up, and what I love about this production in particular is that my guitar bits really get to speak!
I have already paid $4K to record the 12 tracks. It will cost another $8000 to get these babies out to the world. Thanks to the changing world of independent music and the support of fans, projects like this can happen.
I’ve got some rewards for sale to fund it. Check ‘em!
