The Spindrift Saga

Rightio Spindrifter's! We need your help! Over the last year or so, we’ve been writing, refining, and more recently recording our sophomore album 'Rubble and Stone' in one of the best studios in the country. The outcome has put a smile on our faces that we just can't wipe off and we are genuinely excited about this record! We are now busy preparing all the 'other' stuff that goes on behind the scenes to professionally release the album in the current landscape. There is a lot that needs to happen to do this well!

We are currently in the process of having film clips put together and are planning on creating a second clip with an experienced production crew. On top of all that, we have two tours to organise, a publicist on board and our re-scheduled 2nd tour of Japan to organise for 2024.

As a band we have played close to 350 gigs together over 11 years and in all that time we have never been more excited about the music we are about to release. We have been independent since day dot, and we've worked hard to keep it that way. Original music has always been our focus, however, for many years the only way we could fund our dreams was to play cover shows and use the earnings to bankroll our output. Long story short, we learned fast that there is little to no profit in original, independent music in this country until hitting the big time. At risk of sounding clichéd, the industry is tough, and the struggle is real!

We've spent 15K+ on our album so far and have many more expenses on the way to polish this product to the level we believe it really deserves. We are calling upon our fans, to give us a little push in the right direction and assist us to properly complete and promote what we believe could be an award-winning album.

So, we have decided to run a Pozible campaign and are asking you legends to pre-purchase something to help us hit all these goals. We are not asking for direct donations (of course if you'd like to make one - we won’t say no!)

Over the past 11 years, we have been on our grind as an original act to build a small but mighty fan base who make all that hard work worthwhile, and we’re blown away by the loyal group of followers we now have - most of which have become friends and who have been our main motivation over the years. There's been many times when it all felt impossible if we are honest, but we are confident that this new album, film clip releases and tours are going to take this humble little south coast trio into a new, bigger and better phase. We'd love your assistance to get us there, any and all support would be greatly appreciated.

+ cost of mailing out Pozible prizes, administration fees, posters and social media advertising, album cover and single designs.

We're anticipating that the album recording, release and tour process will cost us around $40,000 when it's all done and dusted, so while we do have a fair bit saved and have already invested a lot, we're hoping we can raise around a quarter of our total expenses through this campaign to help lighten the load.
