Billy Jude has been a priest, a worker in an Italian circus, a musician on three continents, a television director/producer/writer, a professional umpire in the Australian Football League, author, standup comic and a father.
In August, 2012, he was diagnosed with incurable liver cancer.
After discovering multitudes of testimonials online regarding the miraculous cancer healing properties of ingesting the THC found in hemp oil, Billy has decided to treat himself with Phoenix Tears, the name given to a successful hemp medicine. Billy's odyssey will take him through the crush of negative medical opinion, past law enforcement and land him in the middle of violent, uninformed social belief. He is willing to bet his life on the outcome.
The film we are making will document either the curing of Billy's cancer through the use of hemp oil or it will accompany him to the completion of his life.
Along the way, advocates, growers, doctors, people who have used the plant as medicine, scientists, legal professionals and politicians will be interviewed. Footage of Billy ranting, raving, pontificating and performing at a comedy nightclub will be included. This will be an informative, investigative and entertaining documentary.
And as the closing credits roll the audience will have an answer; we will know the truth regarding the medical properties of this plant in regard to cancer.
Time is very much of the essence. Billy needs to raise enough funds to get started on the treatment IMMEDIATELY as it takes one month for the benefits of the medicine to become apparent. His next scan is January 8th.
