Well, it's true I'm Lightening Up. After three serious solo albums I've decided to stop making everyone feel so down in the dumps. Actually, I've decided to stop making myself feel so down in the dumps. So I've made something a little more uplifting. My fourth album is a celebration of sweet Naive-Pop. These songs cheer me up when I play them. Hopefully they will cheer you up when you listen to them.

僕は「軽く」なりつつあります！三枚の真面目なソロアルバムを作った後、もうみんなを落ち込ませることをやめました！実際のところみんなではなくて自分を落ち込ませることをやめました！だからもっと楽しい気分になる作品を作りました！四枚目のアルバムはスイートなナイーブポップです。これらの歌を歌う時、僕は嬉しくなります。あなたもこれらの曲を聴いて嬉しくなってくれたらいいなと思います。

And here's a shot of us having serious discussions about art and artistic integrity. Then Bob put on his baby blue headphones and I asked Marty to do some low-down doo wop surf vocals and we WENT FOR IT! I think you can really feel the love in this one. Not to mention the intellectual rigour being applied.

Mostly, I made Johnny, Evan & Ellen wait outside the kitchen until it was time for them to come inside and help me record. They didn't seem to mind though. You see? We really were in very good spirits!

I also scored some time with me mate Pascal Babare at the somewhat more hi-tech environs of Electric Dreams Studios. Lot of computer screens right? Mostly, this is where Electric Dreams CEO Cornel watches the American version of Netflix through a VPN.
友達のパスカルが働いている少しハイテクなエレクトリックドリームズスタジオで録音する時間も頂きました！パソコンのスクリーンが多いね。これでスタジオのオーナーは大抵ネットフリックスをみている（らしい）。
