Kinfolk

Kinfolk is a social enterprise that exists to create inclusion through a celebration of good food and good community. Since 2010 Kinfolk have been making an impact in the Melbourne community through it's volunteer program for marginalised Victorians and other social impact projects.

Your support will help Kinfolk reach more people facing food insecurity across Melbourne.  During the pandemic, their Food Relief Program has provided hundreds of meals a week to Victorians facing food insecurity due to family violence, homelessness and other complex pressures. 

Working with organisations such as InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, McAuley Community Services for Women, Cohealth & City of Melbourne Family Services,  Kinfolk distribute Grocery Kits to support women and children transitioning away from family violence situations.

In addition to Grocery Kits, Kinfolk also provides individually portioned meals to partner agencies who then distribute them within their own communities. These agencies include; Launch Housing, Yarra Libraries, Three For All’s ‘Many Coloured Sky’ initiative, Church of All Nations, North Melbourne Community Centre & Alphington Community Centre (among others). The recipients of these meals range from people facing homelessness, people who have lost work/income due to the pandemic and other factors contributing to acute or chronic food insecurity.

Kinfolk is an organisation for the community, by the community - with its social impact projects made possible by on-going community support.

All donations (large or small) are gratefully accepted. Money raised will go directly to Kinfolk so they can provide food relief to Victorians facing food insecurity due to family violence, homelessness and other complex pressures.
