In October 2018, 16 rural kids will travel from Broome, WA to Melbourne, VIC-  to compete in their first ever dance competition!!

They have been training hard since the beginning of the year, when they auditioned for Broome Performing Arts Co-op’s first performance group- X-TENSION.

The group ranges in ages and abilities but they all share one thing- passion & love for the performing arts and a strong desire to work hard and welcome challenges! 

As you probably know- travelling to Melbourne is very expensive from Broome. All families that have committed to X-tension have done so, knowing the financial repercussions. They don’t expect help and we don’t get funding... however, while we are down there, we would LOVE to take these guys to dance workshops & a show. We believe in giving back to the Broome Community and empowering children through knowledge and experience nourishes and strengthens our small town in so many ways. 

So this is the part where we ask for your help through sponsorship.

If you can donate in ANY way- we would be forever grateful and can offer small rewards for your kindness & assisstance...

• To get to Melbourne return we are looking at $1200 per person...

• To attend workshops we estimate $200 per child

• To attend at least one professional show/musical we estimate between $100-$250 per person

• Food and accommodation expenses $200-$300 per person for the week

• Transport to and from venues etc $100 per person

Of course there are many other costs that individulas will incur; costumes, competition registration, hair & make up, shoes etc. 

We expect most families will have to spend over  $2000 per child involved.... $32 000 just for the kids..
