ABOUT:
The James Mustafa Jazz Orchestra are a brand new Melbourne based big band that was formed in 2013 by Australian composer, bandleader and instrumentalist, James Mustafa. The ensemble is a 19 piece jazz orchestra comprised of some of Australia’s finest musicians.
The JMJO are currently working on their debut album, “The Last Sanctuary”, which is to be released in early 2014. The album is being recorded by Ross Cockle at Allan Eaton Studio and being mixed/mastered by the renowned bassist and sound engineer Phil Rex.
The repertoire includes all original works by James Mustafa, including three feature charts to be performed by Lachlan Davidson (alto sax), Paul Williamson (flügelhorn) and Jordan Murray (trombone).
