Culture Camps on Minyangbul
Minyangbul people have lived in the far-east of Northern New South Wales since the beginning of time. Their connection to country is unbroken.
The Minyangbul are a powerful cultural community. Their knowledge of the traditions, language, songs and dance are retained by the families Elders.
River ‘Ngulinymi Balang’ Williams who is a local Gudjingburra Man original blood line connection to Wollumbin Valley’s working with Ja (Gondwana Bushcraft) and River's partner Elise formulated a strategy to strengthen the Minyangbul Community.
This strategy involves growing and sharing the ongoing living cultural experience River still shares with his family including Minyangbul Uncle Lewis, Uncle Baz and Grandfather Uncle Arthur ‘Arty’ Williams.
This Crowd funding campaign is to bring Warlpiri Senior Culture and Law man Uncle Ned 'Jampijinpa' Hargraves to Minyangbul country. He has been wanting to come and share culture here for a few years now is the best opprtunity we have had for this cultural exchange.
