Hello again. It's us- TROLDHAUGEN! 

You remember... the four boys from Wollongong who use their instruments (and voice) to make loud, exciting, interesting, funny and dumb noises. Since our 2014 album OBZKURE ANEKDOTEZ FOR MANIAKAL MASSEZ we've been busy. Like, REALLY busy. We etched out two European tours, a bunch of Australian ones and even managed to squeeze in a year long nap!

Well, we've been dreaming BIG! And now we have awoken. And like a good wet dream, our creative juices are flowing (both literally and figuratively). We've written a new album and OH BOY is it ridiculous. We feel like we are at a point where the music perfectly represents us as four wacko dudes, which is quite worrisome given the content. We feel it's the ol' TROLDHAUGEN you've come to know and love, just better. A LOT better.

We are heading into record this dang thing mid-July with the fella that did OBZKURE (Ryan Huthnance at Emissary Studios) and figured we'd try to do something cool. We are essentially letting you pre-order the album as of RIGHT NOW. Like... now. Click the button, it's yours. Even though it doesn't exist yet you already have dibs on the damn thing. This will help us pay for this hunk of noise, but you also win because you get ridiculously cool exclusive stuff. You see, we also wrote another album. A bonus album, which will ony be available to pre-order helpers-outers (potentially you). It's fun, dumb, and full of crumbs.

The album will be out 1/9/2017! Over the next few weeks we'll also be releasing some delectable tidbits about the album to whet your mouthz. This isn't a hostage situation- even if we don't meet our goal the album will get made, it just means we won't have to sell ourselves on the street to get it done.

First and foremost, we need the appropriate funds to track, record, mix, master, print, manufacture and promote our album. A majority of our goal will be put towards the associated costs of these tasks.

As expected, recording, mixing and mastering in the studio costs money. We have been hard at work to make sure the new tunez sound as amazing as they possibly can. The largest portion of our funds will be directed towards the costs of studio time. This will allow us to spend the necessary hours tweaking and adding that magical sparkle in order bring the album to life.

The physical version of the album will be a no-expenses spared piece of "art". Our good bud Andrew "Salty" Saltmarsh is taking the artistic reigns for our album art once again and let me tell you, it's gonna be wild.

We wish to deliver a truly professional looking package that we believe matches the quality of the music that's inside.

In addition to our album costs, we're off to Europe again with Alestorm in Sep and Oct and we'll be bringing our new bangers to you! We'll be supporting the UK pirate nincompoops for their 'No Grave but the Sea' album tour along with US folkmemesters Aether Realm!

For the length of our 7 country tour we will be performing our silly antics live 2 U and you might even get to taste a rogue bit of our salty sweat flying off our foreheads if you stand close enough in the front row. Yum yum.

Any extra funds raised will directly help in spreading the word of Troldhaugen across the world. Along with the costs of T-shirt printing and other merchandising, you will be helping to make sure we don't starve on the road and end up in some sort of Trans-Europe tour-bus cannibalism scandal.

As a quick reminder, we only receive your pledged amount when our project target is met. No money changes hands until our goal is reached, and if it isn't reached, you keep your money.

The challenges we see are all mostly relating to funding. As stated, we wish to make sure that everything is as good as it possibly can be. We have made sure everything on our end is polished and perfected, and as stated above, there are just few tasks that require attending to in order to add that special cherry on top. Your generous pledge is the way we can achieve that!
