Through this music I am healing myself, growing myself, and inspiring myself to be a little kinder, to act every day to make this blessed world a better place, every day. I hope this music will inspire and heal your life as deeply as it does mine!

We all want to live in a better world. So what will happen when we all start doing just one little thing every day to make our world a better place? Imagine an army of kindness marching out across the world, inspired by Medicine Music, dancing through life, smiling at everyone they meet, picking up rubbish, offering a helping hand, and being kind, supportive, and helpful to our fellow human beings. 

Through taking this music into the world, I want to create positive change around peoples’ relationship with themselves and the planet, and I’ll know this has happened when 10,000 people email me and tell me how they’ve been inspired to make a positive change in their life and for the planet. (When will you be appearing in my inbox, sharing what you did today to make the world a better place?)

My contribution is writing these songs, bringing the band together, recording, thousands of hours of work and joy. Your contribution is enjoying the music, feeling the shift in your energy and being, seeing the changes in your life, and being inspired to be kinder and more beautiful to yourself, the world, and all beings who share it with us.

I wrote this song one day when I felt deep in my bones that every day is such a precious gift, an amazing opportunity, brim full of potential. I hope you enjoy this gentle, toe-tapping celebration of our shared human adventure! 'Got the sun Shining down on me, Feelin’ like the flowers being kissed by the bees. Got the moon smiling into me, Feelin’ so happy, feelin’ so free...' You'll hear Alex dancing joy on violin in this one. (I'm on acoustic guitar and vocals, with Thom Swain on bass, and Justin Ollson on drum kit on all the songs. The best musicians I have ever made music with!)

I lived with a full frontal view of the deeply powerful and sacred mountain 'Wollumbin' (Mt Warning) in the Nothern Rivers, NSW for 5 years. As soon as we moved in, I knew I wanted to write a song to honor the mountain. It took four years, then poured out in 15 minutes. This song tips it's hat to reggae, with smooth, heartfelt grooves. 'Old man mountain, looking down at me. Old man mountain, who is it you see. Old man mountain, bound by the river’s stream. Old man mountain, walking into my dream.' Listen for sublime backing vocals from Judy Rodman, my dear friend and vocal coach, and Alex echoing his guitar like thunder around the mountain.

A meditation upon awakening to oneself, and to the living beauty of this world. Deep, wide, gentle and strong, this song uplifts and deepens presence within. 'Feels like I'm finding what I've always been looking for. This life with every breath, is a gently swinging door.' Listen out for Alex's soaring violin on this one!

This life we are living is such an amazing opportunity to experience, to evolve, and to grow. And this song is a reflection on the mystery and magic of this life, this day, and this endless moment that holds all of who we are. 'This life is like a river, so gently flowing through. This life is like a mountain, standing so strong and true.' Listen for Alex glowing with joy on electric guitar here.

Here we sink into the mystery, into devotion to life and love, into peace and harmony. 'We are the temple door, breathe and be opened. We are the heart of love, breathe and be awakened.' This song came from the leader of a plant ceremony I sat in. She remarked on how we are the temple door. Listen for awesome bowed bass drones from Thom, and ecstatic violin from Alex.

An homage to our sacred healing plant medicine, Mama Aya, and to the light that shines within us all. Deep, meditative, hypnotic, and uplifting. 'You are a child of this earth, You are cousin to the stars. You are brother to the sun, You are sister to the moon.' Listen for a massive backing chorus from Judy, and Alex deep and resonant on octave violin

In the ancient Mayan language, Inlakesh means 'I am another you' - this song is an uplifting, toe-tapping, joyful celebration of how interconnected we and nature all are! Listen for Alex playing violin like a lead guitar (plucked) in this one - and Justin's bone-deep funky grooves on the kit. You may want to move a little to the beat!

Here we leap and spin, sparkling with joy, burning bright, into an upbeat, have-to-get-up-and-dance celebration of life. This is the story of my journey to Cusco, Peru, to literally dance with the Grandfather teacher plant - San Pedro, Wuchuma. 'Walking through this ancient city, Feet trippin’ over worn cobblestones. She leads me to a sacred silence, I feel the light echo in my bones.' Listen here for Alex burning hot with psychedelic electric guitar wizardry. Devotional music, mantra, and kirtan, has become a huge part of my life in recent years. 'Jai Ma' means 'victory to the divine mother/sacred feminine'. The sacred vibrations of these Sanskrit words interweave with Alex's playing two violin parts. Simply divine, deeply meditative, and peaceful.

Love is universal. This song is my tender message to my dear, true love. And at the same time, we meet the sacred in a divine union between two humans being, vulnerable, open, courageous, and present with each other. 'I want the truth of you, I want to feel your heart, I want your soul to dance with mine.' Listen for Alex on octave violin, so tender and sweet.

This life! So strange and wonderful! This song is a get-up-and-dance, joyous celebration of the weird and wonderful journey we live in our human adventure on planet Earth. The whole band is ROCKING, so much fun! 'I got beautiful colours under my fingernails, Doin’ what I gotta to keep on the rails,Got smiles deep inside even when tears fall, Made of light and shadows, I embrace them all.' Listen for the band having th best time ever, and Alex going to town on electric guitar in the most beautiful way!

Debut TreeBrother Studio Album 'This Life' BUDGET

I've already paid for the producer, rehearsals, musicians, studio, mixing, and mastering of this album. $20,000 from my personal savings - because I don't want to die wondering, and I wanted to make an incredible album of Medicine Music for you! 

What I want to do is to inspire you to help us take this album out into the world. 

Every dollar you contribute will go directly to promotion and touring costs.

1. Employing a skilled professional to get the word out, to get the album into the hands and ears of radio, TV, media, and news - to get exposure in a big way, and to get airplay. Budget: $5,000 - $10,000
2. Touring - taking this show on the road, getting out and about (hopefully to a town near you). To tour each capital city here in Australia,  budget is $5,000 for musicians, travel, accommodation, food, and promotion of the gigs. There are 6 cities apart from our hometown (Melbourne). It would be great to visit them all!
