Budget Overview
Any and all funds that we raise will go straight into the following areas so we can make the best production possible:
- Production Deisgn
Creating a period piece set in the 1970s is an ambitious task! Over half our budget will be allocated to recreating the 1970s Australia through costumes, location hire, props, set furnishings, make up and hair. And we can't forget our most important big budget item- a 1970s bike, The Great White!
- Safety Personnel
In order to make sure that our cast and crew are safe from Keiths unpredictable temper, we will need to hire a stunt coordinator.
- On Set Catering for 15+ Cast & Crew
We cant let our cast and crew go hungry during our long days and nights on set! We'll be spending 9 days filming so catering is going to take a fair bit out of our budget!
- Local and International Film Festival Submissions
This film deserves to be seen! We have an outstanding cast that absolutely blew our mind and exceeded our expectations during auditions and on our test shoots as well an amazing talented, passionate and hard working crew. This shouldn't go unrecognised so we will be entering the final product into some local, national and international film festivals once it's been complete. The themes of selfless love, growing up, sacrifice underlie the films narrative and are something so powerful that we believe this would resonate on a much larger scale.
Potential Challenges
Filming at an Airbnb in order to achieve the 1970s look is going to cost a lot! With tightly scheduled filming days, shot lists, storyboards and run sheets, we are hoping to keep our time in these locations to a minimum to keep costs low.
Our cast and crew have already began to form really strong bonds and friendships which keeps us hopeful that we will be able to overcome any challenges that come our way. With the kind support and donations from our family, friends and broarder networks we are hoping that our budget will also help us to overcome any unforseen challenges!
