Care to hear a peculiar tale? 13 strangers sit around a table as the eccentric host of the evening reads from a family letter depicting a supernatural experiment and a theory about objects retaining memories of the past.

Hi there, and welcome!

We are the cast and crew of Nathan Schulz presents The Curiosity Experiment!

We have had an incredible journey with this piece - delighting and terrifying audiences with a simple ghost story.

Our team is split between two states - Victoria and Queensland, with the majority of us in Queensland. 

The company is diverse with many of us working in film, theatre and visual art, bringing many of these to the whole production.

NSP consists of a balance between classic theatre & Interactive/immersive story-telling that can be performed in any space with a small cast, costumes and limited setting. NSP promotes themselves as a theatre company that creates contemporary and experimental genres within the arts, striving for the audience to be involved and to be left with an experience...and we want to take that to Adelaide Fringe!

Travelling to the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2017 with such a large crew for an intimate show is costly. There is no denying it. And when they are coming from 2 sides of the country - well you get the picture! 

So, excluding our travel and accomodation, our touring costs sits at just on $3000.

How will your contribution help us to scare the audiences of Adelaide Fringe?

Venue Hire - One of our highest costings in this production. We are lucky enough to be residing at Carclew House - a stunning building that will create an eery landscape to work with for our season of The Curiosity Experiement.  Having money to secure this venue will enchance the experience for all involved.

Advertising/Promotion/Publicity/Design - In 2016 there were 600 show across the Adelaide Fringe season with more expected in 2017.  We need an advantage to stand out from the crowd. We've very lucky to have Sarah Guppy from This Much Talent as our publicist for our up and coming season (We love you Sarah!)  Advertising comes with a price and we want the best deals we can nab. 

Printing - This festival we are looking to be more sustainable with our promo material. Here at NSP we will be pushing for more online promotion to save the costs of paper. However, there will be still be some printing to be made and its still expensive. 

Prop Transportation - We have a 200 year old Gramaphone that is a part of our props and crucial to the show.  Can't pop that in our hand luggage.

While our goal is small, it will go a long way and save our ghostly butts from severe stress! 

Our biggest challenge with this production is the financial cost. 

The Curiosity Experiment incorporates such an intimate audience of 13.  It's a pretty low number to be working with in terms of money-making-margins. NOTE: Any profits made from The Curisoity Experiment  will be used to futher the company and support any of our upcoming productions to make them bigger and better than before.
