UPDATE - Together we reached our first target of $33,000, but we don’t want to stop there. 

We want to make real change for the better...  when we raise $120,000, we will not only share our on-farm processed meat with over 360 households, we start financing our next unit and can expand to work with more grass-fed cattle farmers in more regions. 

For Provenir to truly change the system - we need multiple units operating and supplying across Australia. 

Then we become a true disruptor... fulfilling our goal of changing the industry for the better.

It all started when...

a farmer, a vet and a chef got together ….   It may sound like the start of a joke but when the founders of Provenir got together they were serious about finding a solution to the problems each had experienced within the current red meat production system. 

The Problem - Live Transport 

The reality is, that all livestock processed in Australia for commercial sale, is done so at a fixed abattoir.  

This means livestock must endure transportation prior to processing, often over long distances. The stress of this transportation, combined with restricted access to food and water, exposure to foreign animals and unfamiliar environments, creates a systemic problem in the industry.  

Live transport prior to processing, is not only bad for animal welfare and our farmers, who lose yield and profit, but also bad for meat quality. 

At Provenir, we knew we could do better.  Better for farmers, better for livestock, and better for consumers.

Our Solution - On-Farm Processing

Our solution is simple - instead of animals going to the abattoir - the abattoir comes to the farm. 

In other words - mobile, on-farm processing.  Our innovative Mobile Processing Unit has been built and is currently being commissioned and soon to be licensed. The unit has taken over three years to design and build - and now is on the cusp of going into operation. 

Provenir will eliminate the stress to livestock associated with live transport to the processors, increase yield for the farmer and produce meat of exceptional quality, taste and tenderness.

Once the animal has died, the muscle glycogen is converted to lactic acid that causes the pH to fall. If there is not enough glycogen available in the animal at the time of slaughter, insufficient lactic acid will be produced and the pH will remain high, resulting in dark cutting meat*.” – MLA

When we first set out to make mobile processing a commercial reality, we were told "it can't be done", "you're crazy", "it will never fly". WELL...despite all that we were determined and have already overcome so many challenges to get where we are today, raising capital, designing the unit, meeting regulatory requirements, changing the laws.

When you support us through choosing a Meat Pack reward you are pre-purchasing your beef supply for one month, six months, or a whole year.  In doing so you are giving us and our farmers the confidence to continue to grow the production of our high welfare beef.

Our Pozible supporters will be the first to experiance Provenir meat!  We're not offering our Provenir Meat Pack anywhere else!

Unfortunately we're not able to home deliver our Provenir Meat Packs all around Australia at the moment, so we've created some non-meaty Rewards so you can still jump on board and support highest welfare meat - and get a little something for yourself too.
