Pretty Produce Farm
Pretty Produce is an award winning edible flower, weed and leaves Australian farm based on Lamb Island (Ngudooroo) in Southern Moreton Bay located within the State of Queensland.
The accidental farmers, Simone and Dave Jelley started Pretty Produce as an upscaled kitchen garden in 2012, supplying edible leaf and flowers to the Southern Moreton Bay Island community.
The development of the Pretty Produce took a serious turn in 2013 when Simone started to explore 'what is edible'. The study began looking into edible 'weeds', edible native plants, edible ornamental plants and tree/shrub edibles within Australia alongside 'wild foods' globally.
Fast-forward to the present day, the farm has moved twice and is now located on a beautiful 3 acre plot on Lamb Island that overlooks North Stradbroke Island. Pretty Produce's flowers, weeds and leaves now grace plates of premiere restaurants throughout Queensland and Nationally.
Pretty Produce runs on the smell of fresh flowers and the passion for education, research, food security and sustainability. The Pretty Produce team needs your support to continue their dreams of a sustainable, spray free farm.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The lifeblood of any farm or garden is water. The current bore is decades old and hasn't been properly maintained. Getting water from the current bore is extremely problematic. The bore needs a full overhaul to ensure the future of the farm.
Getting the Pretty Produce to stores and restaurants without a refrigerated truck has been a challenge. Purchasing a refrigerated truck will ensure the produce is fresh and ready for plates across the country.
Wind or too much rain can easily destroy an entire crop. Having more polytunnels will ensure protection from the elements and the future of the crop.
The Challenges
Pretty Produce have secured the land and a dedicated team. However the challenge is - maintenance and upgrades required for growth and sustainability - along with racing to meet the demands with limited and unreliable resources. Securing these funds will ensure the future of this unique artisan farm and inspiring Australian enterprise.
