Phi&Me NAKED - EdFringe Festival
A crazy bunch of people from Phi and Me Productions will be taking 2 shows to the world's largest Fringe Festival in Edinburgh.
Phi & Me and
NAKED.
Who is...
Phi and Me
is a Vietnamese Australian family comedy, about a refugee mother's love for her teenage son Phi Nguyen, who wants to be a superstar. It follows an intergenerational family living in Australia with their many struggles, tough love and belly laughs.
The first show opened in 2011 at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with a 4 Star Herald Sun review and sold out the 3 week season.
"A talented trio of Melbourne actors turn Multiculturalism into a goldfield of giggles into a riotius stage show Phi and Me." Lynette Walker Herald Sun.
The second show opened in 2012, and Phi and Me Too received 4.5 Stars in the Herald Sun.
"A MOTHER'S love never hurt so good as in this razor-sharp, magnificently over-the-top explosion of ethnic humour." Jim Schembri Herald Sun.
NAKED
is a 4.95 star reviewed standup show by Diana Nguyen, co creator of Phi and Me Productions.
The Australia Times said, "“Stripping herself back and becoming vulnerable, this heartfelt comedian has nothing to hide as she is beautifully funny – a truly lovely human being.”
Aussie Theatre said, "Funny, clever and incredibly entertaining, Diana Nguyen’s Naked is an absolute joy to watch."
So it is time to take this show to the world stage. Edinburgh.

How The Funds Will Be Used
We want to raise $4000.
The money is only used for registration and marketing of the show. No funds will be used for flights, accommodation, water/food or psychologist fees.
The money remaining will go straight into our Webseries fund.
Registration into the Edinburgh Fringe $600 for each show.
Marketing including $2800 worth of posters/billboards/flyers going around Edinburgh streets.
Remember this is the exchange rate conversion to pounds which is 2340 Pounds.
We will be spending 8 hours flyering on the streets of Edinburgh to get people into our 2 shows.
The Challenges
We are part of the Free Festival which means?
We do not pay Venue hire.
There are no door ticket sales.
Audiences pay at the end of the show. Yes...they pay at the end of the show into a bucket.
Average audience numbers in one show is 7-10 people. We want at least 35 people per show. Hence why we have spent a lot of money on marketing.
It is a huge gamble, but this is what artists do. Gamble with our creativity. This show is important to us, and we want to share it!
