“Pentridge Prison -Inside Out” is a photobook, 

a collection of hundreds of photographs, taken by Adrian, from 2006 till now.

About 12 years ago Adrian Didlick started taking photographs of Pentridge Prison.

His interest in preserving images of the then abandoned, 146 year old prison and its environs grew into a fascination. 

A fascination that hasn’t stopped.

Over the last year I dedicated many many hours going through Adrian’s photographs, 

sorting and curating them into a 280 page book. 

None of the photos were changed or edited. 

No filters or effects were used. 

They appear as Adrian took them - sometimes in a rush to get out of there. 

It was not our intention to write another book about Pentridge Prison.

Others have done that before and we strongly recommend to get your hands on a copy of those :)

Don Osborne, a very good friend of Adrian’s, 

former teacher in Pentridge during its most volatile years and 

the author of ‘Pentridge - Behind The Bluestone Walls', 

has gracefully written a brief history of the prison complex as a preface to the book. 

Our intention is to give a unique insight into this important historical landmark and show warts

and all the conditions that people worked, lived and died in.

So far Adrian and I haven't spent any of our own money  

(except for a few coffees we had while we were talking about our project ;) and the Indesign subcription) 

but many many hours of our time.

We now need to raise $9.000 to get it printed.

We are optimistic that we can make it with your help!

If we hit our target, the book will get sent off and will be ready to collect/post about 9 weeks later. 

If we exceed our target, Adrian and I have decided to donate 75% of any profit to VACRO, 

the Victorian Association For The Care And Resettlement Of Offenders.
