Armadale Senior High School is located in the outer suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. The school opened in 1953, and for many years had a well-established music program that was recognised state wide.

In the past 20 years the program has diminished, although a strong culture of music remains in the school. The students love music, and many have the ability to continue onto university level with the right resources.

The plan for 2019 is to start a Year 7 Instrumental Music class. This class of 30 would form a Concert Band, and play music twice a week during class time.

This tried and proven “band technique” has produced many accomplished musicians Australia wide as the course is purely practical based. All theory is learnt through playing.

$3000 would enable us to purchase around 6 new instruments. We are hoping to exceed the target of $3000 with the aim to purchase the 30 instruments that we need.

All pledges shall receive an award; this will be an invitation to our Summer Concert during Term 4 of 2019 to see the students in action with their instruments!
