Dear Supporters

It's been a wonderful journey,

All three of our collection timings are over, and no more collections are available.

Thank you again for all your supports, and have a great year ahead!

****

MoonFlower is a luminiscent display of flowers that glow in the dark, inviting passer-by to take a walk through the garden in the dark. Each individual unit of flower is powered by its own solar powered LED which collects the sun in the day and lights up when the environment turns dark.

The work will be first showcased at i Light Marina Bay 2017 at the Promontory for the public displays and I  hope the flowers can continue to live on in people's homes and gardens after the exhibition.

By nominating $5, you can bring home a unit of MoonFlower after the last day of the exhibition (26th March 2017)

How The Funds Will Be Used

All funds will be donated to the Garden City Fund, a charity that runs sustainable projects in Singapore.

About Garden City Fund

Garden City Fund (GCF) is a registered charity and IPC in the Republic of Singapore. It was established in 2002 under our founding patron, Mr Lee Kuan Yew. GCF is established by the National Parks Board (NParks) but managed independently as a charity and 100% of donations raised go towards projects it supports.

These projects complement NParks' efforts towards fulfilling its City in a Garden vision through:

  • Optimising the green spaces in Singapore
  • Supporting the urban biodiversity conservation model
  • Engaging the community
  • Enhancing competencies of the landscape industry in Singapore

Through partnerships with organisations and individuals, GCF provides a platform for the community to be involved in conservation, research, outreach and education initiatives.

By engaging the community, we hope to cultivate a love for the environment and promote a sense of ownership in our natural heritage.

The Challenges

I  hope the flowers can continue to live on in people's homes and gardens after the exhibition.
