MAKING SPACE  

Making Space is a coming-of-age short film exploring the burden of adulthood, and the feelings and philosophies that come with growing, while capturing the indefinable tenderness of a female friendship.

SYNOPSIS

Working as a young, health professional in a demanding, high-care hospital is Char; a goal-oriented, vibrant soul. Since accomplishing the goals of her childhood, she has become directionless, withdrawn and disillusioned with who she is and her place in the world. It isn’t until an adventure, fuelled by her best friend, Phillie, where she is reluctantly awoken to the presence of her reality. Sometimes all you need is a little push to re-discover what it means to live a more intentional and meaningful life.

ABOUT US 

Hiiii, we are Elessa Donnelly and Annie Alexander and we are actors and filmmakers. Both from humble, rural beginnings in southern New South Wales, we are Sydney based creatives curious about our world, the people in it, and are motivated to explore and develop honest, dynamic stories.

Making Space is our debut short film and with your help we can lift this story off the page and onto the screen as we move from the development phase and into pre-production. This requires the assembly of a supportive and dynamic team of creatives to make this project a reality.

As we head into this pre-production phase it is important we curate an eclectic, inclusive team to carry our vision and convey our story with honesty and passion. Therefore with your support we will be able to achieve this team and our goals for the film in partially contributing to the following departments:
