Jump Street Australia is a leading online performance basketball shoe store which was first launched in December 2015, now 12 months old the webste has gone strength to strength over this short period.

The reason I created the website is becuase I am basketball crazy, so crazy infact I have a Michael Jordan tattoo and my son is called Jordy. Anyhow, like many other fellow basketballers, I often struggled to find a decent selection of basketball shoes here in Australia. This led to many people I know purchasing shoes overseas, predominatly in the US.

With this, I created www.jump-st.com.au, which brings many Australian basketball shoe retailers together in one place to promote their shoes, giving ozzie ballers a real marketplace to see what is available locally while also support local retailers.

You might be saying "Well, If the website is doing well why do you need funding?"

Great question!

We currently promote basketball shoes available on other Australian retail stores, in return we make a small commission per sale somewhere between 4-8%.

Our current sales per month is around $5,000.00, our commisions are in the range of $250.00 per month. Although we are happy with the growth of the business we are only breaking even.

We will continue to support local retailers in Australia, however on top of this we would like to purchase our own stock and supply shoes that are not available locally.

We have suppliers lined up, however we do not have the funds to make out first order. 100% of the money raised will go directly to the cost of stock only for our first order, not to wages, shipping, marketing or anything else.

We have a steady and growing website visitor base of 5,000 Australian visitor per month, growing at around 20% percent per month. We have the market place, our biggest challenge is changing our target customers buying patterns to persuade them to buy locally and support Australian retailers. We want to change that!
