I like writing/recording/releasing music. Especially songs that take people into the truth and beauty of Jesus. 

Earlier this year I recorded the Garden Of Sinners' Delight, a bunch of songs about the delight we can take in the cross of Christ. You can check it out here. My background in music tech meant that I was able to record, mix and master this mostly by myself.

I'd love to release more music this year and into the future. As I do, I'm always keen to improve the quality and sustainability of my work.

I am currently planning on 2 more releases this year: 

- A CD entitled "To Know...", which is almost written, all about what it means to know God.

- A Christmas EP, full of songs about Jesus' birth.

Your financial support will not only go towards the costs of my next release, but will also be an investment in my future recordings.

Based on the GOSD recordings, I have worked out that $2000 will enable me to not only produce my next CD, but also to purchase some professional recording equipment that I can use in future projects as well. 

There are lots of costs associated with recording. My training in music tech means I am able to bypass some of the bigger costs by recording, producing, playing, and mixing myself. I have developed a good home studio setup over the years and was able to put this to good use for the last CD.

The biggest costs remaining are CD printing and additional studio gear. 

The Garden Of Sinners' Delight release was greatly helped by one jam-packed day spent in another studio, where I was able to take advantage of some equipment that I don't have. While doing this again would lower the cost of my next project, I am convinced that purchasing some of this gear myself now will be a better investment in the long term. It will also give me greater creative flexibility - removing the pressure of costly studio time.

Being an independent artist is great, as it allows total creative freedom. This lends itself well to what I am trying to do - promoting the beautiful but sometimes unpopular truths of the Bible. The challenge though is funding everything independently! 

My hope for these next 2 CDs is that they will be an encouragement to followers of Jesus and also a window into the life-changing message of God's love to those who need to hear.
