We are dedicated to making communication across the community easier to understand. This supports more people to make informed decisions, committments, increasing inclusion in the community.

We offer annual memberships, workshops and custom writing and editing services in Easy Read, Easy English and plain language.

Easy Read is a simplified style of writing that is great for anyone not confident in reading in English, including those from a cultural background where English is not their first language, people with dementia, people with disabilities - that is over 50% of the Australian community - and everyone who prefers not to read complex documents!

Easy Read relies heavily on the use of images to add context to the words, making it easier to understand. Many documents will use an image to support every paragraph!

We hire people with disabilities as often as possible, and currently over 80% of our team are disabled AND fairly paid. At the moment our artists and photographers are working on images with several themes our members identify as important - including health care, education, independent living skills, public transport and more.

We started taking members in January and need a little help from you, to continue building our image bank, to attract more members so we are self-funding. Our image bank currently has around 300 images in only several months, but many more are needed to support the creation of Easy Read documents.

100% of these funds will go toward producing images of various kinds.

This will primarily include directly to our artists and photographers, and may also include payment for models with disabilities.
