Croatia AFL International Cup
We are the Victorian Croatian Chamber of Commerce (VCCC). We are a not for profit organization that creates business networks between the Croatian community and the broader Australian context.
The 2017 AFL International Cup is taking place in Melbourne between August 5th-19th. The VCCC is assisting with funding the participation of the Croatian Knights AFL Team.
The Croatian Knights are the reigning men's European Gold Medalists. Croatia hosted the 2015 AFL European Cup in Umag, and the most recent championships were held in Lisbon, Portugal in 2016.
Croatian participation in European AFL tournaments is a product of both self-funding and sponsorships. The Australian adventure requires significantly greater resources, and the VCCC is appealing for your support.
The 2017 AFL International Cup in Melbourne, will be the first time a Croatian national AFL team plays in Australia. The tournament is an opportunity to bring together Australian and Croatian communities in a common passion for the indigenous Australian game.

How The Funds Will Be Used
The AFL funds the staging of the International Cup, including venue, insurances, television coverage, and the Gala Event.
All participating teams are responsible for travel, accommodation and food expenses.
Travel costs for the Zagreb to Melbourne return journey have been confirmed as $2,079 per person, including airport taxes. The travelling team consists of 26 people. The total cost is therefore $50,054.
The VCCC has set a target of $20,000 to contribute towards airfares. Additional funds raised above the $20,000 target will go towards local accommodation, other travel and food expenses. The accommodation expenses have been confirmed as $9,600 including GST.
Pozible Crowdfunding is an all or nothing project. If the funding target is not met, the pledges will not be processed. If the target is met, the pledges will be processed.
If 400 supporters pledge $50 each, our target will be met. Alternatively, if 200 supporters pledge $100 each, our target will be also met. Pledges under $50 are also accepted, and no pledge is too small.
Our aim is to establish a community whose small contributions will make this project succeed.

The full payment for the airfares is required 45 days before the scheduled departure. The scheduled departure is 2nd August. The due date for the full payment is 18th June.
We are asking for everybody's support in a very short space of time.
