HELLO!!!

Hi my name is Alexis Naylor and for those of you that don’t know, I am a singer songwriter who lives in a van named VanNessa.

The last 12 months have been a whirlwind to say the least, I released my debut EP - Daydreamer in JUNE 2019 while I was also diving into writing what I thought was going to be another EP but ended up being an ALBUM!

The upcoming album - 'Pages From A Past Life' is a lyrical and musical journey, be prepared, it has all the feels… even has me in tears! Love, loss, emotional growth, mental health, self talk, heartbreak and struggle… all pages from a past life. My songwriting has grown up, I am super proud of these songs and cannot wait to share it with you guys. 

Now comes the time to talk about why we are here, this crowdfund. 

I have self funded everything to do with releasing my upcoming album ‘Pages From A Past Life’. Rehearsal space, recording, mixing, mastering, session musicians, distribution, marketing, graphic design, merch, CD’s the list goes on. 

This is all well and good but I want to be able to take this album ON TOUR!!!! That’s where you guys come in, I really believe in this album and want to be able to share these songs on tour around our beautiful country. 

So I am asking for your help to get VanNessa and I around this great land.

Estimate Dates: JUNE to DEC 2020 - POSTPONED to 2021 due to Coronavirus

Estimate of KMs: 18,000

# towns I will visit: all of them, I hope

# gigs I think I will play: 50 plus (crazy I know)

THE PERKS & REWARDS:

So I am guessing you guys want to know about some of the items that are part of the perks which will be on offer?

How about a Limited Edition Tea-Towel? This reward will have you singing in the kitchen with the singalong bits to one of the tracks off the album - B.R.W.D.

Or how about having VanNessa and I over at your place for a private solo concert of the debut album, start to finish at your house (or backyard, beach, lounge room, caravan, forest, mountain, riverside etc...) for you and all your friends! Unlimited people welcome. Squeeze em in. 

And of course there will be all sorts of other merch available… t-shirts, stickers, tote bags. ALL AS A THANKYOU FOR PLEDGING!!

THE RISKS & CHALLENGES:

This crowdfund is a massive risk, the amount of money I am asking for is not small, but realistically, just to get around Australia costs a lot of money. I still need to have the funds to live, like you know eat and pay the bills (yes even living vanlife, I still have bills to pay). The risk is extremely high that I don’t even make $10,000 which means for me to get this album on tour, it would mean taking out a personal loan and racking up a few credit cards. 

As with all crowdfunds, there is always challenges, getting the word out is one of them. I would appricate all the support you can give but not only a pledge but by also sharing this campaign with your friends and family on socials and anyone you think will love my music.

My first target is $10,000!

If I reach this magic number I can get on the road with VanNessa, get around australia on National Highway 1, but no detours and no trips on the ferry to TAS. (If I don't reach this goal I don't get ANY of the funds). 

My stretch target is $15,000!

If I reach this goal it means VanNessa and I can get off National Highway 1 to some more remote areas and share this album with more audiences.

My ‘dream’ stretch target is $20,000!

If I reach this goal it means VanNessa and I can sleep well at night knowing that all fuel costs for the entire tour are covered and we will be able to get back to WA.

BUDGET:

All of the funds I receive will go towards - 

• Petrol for the TOUR around Australia.
• Food and expenses for travel.
• Insurance and cover for the VAN as I travel.
• Creating and sending the PERKS & REWARDS to you.
• Show costs including musician/gig insurance, music gear etc
