Recently I was sent these images of students who made their own versions of my AUSSIE posters, and I thought they were great. So I've started giving away my posters to any teacher who'd like to make AUSSIE posters with their students. So far I've given away almost 500 posters but there are apparently 10,000 schools in Australia, so I need some help.

I want to raise $3000 to cover 50% of my printing and postage expenses over the next two years. I'll cover the rest myself. It’s the sort of project that spreads gradually via word of mouth so I’m taking the slow and steady approach. If we can reach 2000 schools by 2026 I’ll be very happy. I'll be posting images of the results as they come in so you can follow the journey.

The AUSSIE poster project began with a Pozible campaign back in 2016 that allowed me to stick up 1000 posters all over Australia. Each poster features an archival photograph of someone who applied for an exemption to the dictation test, which was a function of the White Australia Policy. I found the images, amongst thousands like them, in the National Archive of Australia. I hope the posters help us expand and reflect upon what it means to be Australian.

The funds will go entirely to printing and postage expenses. For $3000 I can print and distribute almost 2000 posters. If the campaign raises more funds I'd distribute more posters. I don't mind if it takes years. I've got time.
