Hello! We are Amaru Tribe, we are a Melbourne based band who have been invited to perform at the U.S's biggest music conference SXSW (Austin, Texas)! It's the first time an Australian latin band will be at SXSW and we are thrilled to represent Australia's cultural diversity at this event.  We will also take this opportunity to visit Colombia to perform, collaborate and learn from the masters of Cumbia! But taking a 6 piece band overseas is a massive task so we will need a bit of help from you.

We have made a big effort to cover our flights from our own band savings and upcoming gigs but we are only half way there. In exchange for your contributions we have some amazing rewards like exclusive merch, music and prizes.

WHO ARE WE  //  QUIENES SOMOS

For those who have never heard us, we are a Melbourne based band with members from Australia, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile and Argentina creating a very unique and global musical mixture. Thanks to the help of our fans and the support we received through our first Pozible campaign last year we were able to release our first album (Nominated for Best Global Album at the Age Music Awards) and tour various festivals around Australia (including Blenheim Festival, Brunswick Music Festival and Strawberry Fields). 

Many opportunities have opened up thanks to your support and now the bands is ready to go international!

LETS DO THE MATH!

We have done our homework and found a killer deal for the flights which we were able to cover from our savings and loans from some good friends. 

Here are the approximate numbers so you get a sense of how much we need in total for this tour:

Return Flights Melbourne - Austin - Bogota: $12000 (paid already)

Local Transport, gear hire and everyday expenses: $ 6600

Acccomodation for 6 people in Austin (6 days)and Bogota (14days): $5400

Insurance and Visas: $ 1500

Promotion and Publicity: $3300

 Total: $28.800

HOW MUCH WE NEED?

We need about $12k and we are paying some of this cost from our own pocket but we need to raise at least 5500 or more to help cover most of our accomodation and everyday expenses for the whole band.

We are also throwing a big fundraiser concert in Melbourne on the 16th of Feb so come and celebrate with us if you are in town!
