Hello there friends, fans, banana enthusiasts! 

I'm really excited to say that it's finally time to make my second album. I had planned to do this sooner, to make it a different way this time, to spend the last few years differently but hey, sometimes the story doesn't go that way. And the more I thought about how I would make this album, it just made sense to make it together again. Crowdfunding 'Spectacular Heartbreak' with you all filled me with so much joy and confidence that you believed in me and what I could do. And it made the process of planning, recording and release feel like a team effort, even when I was up alone at 1 am organising with my silly little spreadsheets. 

And since the last time was so darn Spectacular (see what I did there) I think we should do it again! After all, that little album got nominated for Alt-Country Album of the Year at the Golder Guitars, Country Work of The Year at the Queensland Music Awards, streamed over half a million times and played across the country, even on commercial radio! And I couldn't have done it without you, nor would I have wanted to after all the love and support you gave me along the way. 

You've already heard a little taste of some new stuff with 'Drowning Myself'. She's a bit different than what you've heard before but like Hannah Montana, this album is going to be the best of both worlds. There is some new stuff that I'm exploring but I'm still the same vulnerable, twangy songwriter you met on my last album. I'm really proud of the songs I've written for this album, it feels like this is a perfect snapshot of who am I and how I've grown as an artist, a songwriter and a woman in the past 3 years.

My plans haven't gone to, well, plan, for this album. After 'Spectacular Heartbreak' I felt like my hard work was finally paying off and I was going to be able to fund my future records myself with touring and merch and festivals (oh my!). I know you all know what actually happened and this isn't a time for sob stories, we're here to get excited! So I would love your help in getting my next record made, your pledge, large or small makes a huge difference! I've spent a lot of time listening to you all and thinking about fun things I could make for this album so I hope there's a reward that you love! And if you have something specific in mind (do you want more twirling ribbons?) that you don't see, let's work something out!

I really love this album, it's the album I wish I had when I was a teenager or when I was an younger version of me feeling so lost. And I know I'm not special in those experiences so I think there will be something you love as much as me on the record. I just think it's going to be a cracker!

I can't wait to share all the new stories I've written into these songs and I would be so proud to bring it into the world with you!
