YOUNG vol 2 is available to pre-order through this pozible campaign!

YOUNG vol 2 is the follow-up to my first book, YOUNG. This book has been a year in the making and it has grown significantly from the first volume, with more than double the number of colour photographs.

Shot on 35mm colour film, the photos in the book explore what it's like to be young and female. The aim of the project was not simply to photograph 10 young women, but to spend time with them, hang out and learn. Each girl has answered a series of questions, which enables the reader to learn more about them, and changes the gaze from purely voyeuristic to inquisitive.

YOUNG vol 2 also aims to capture the girls' age on film and on paper, skewing the idea that the world today exists only online. It is an homage to beauty, youth, growing up and imperfection.

As anyone who has self published before will know - printing books is expensive! My target won't fully cover printing costs but it will be a big help! 

Current Quote for printing - $3,886.72 for 150 copies. I would love to push this to 200 copies!

If I go over my target, any extra money will help with the full printing fee, as well as contributing to the considerable costs spent on film, develping and scanning. Including the cost of launching the book and the accompanying show, my costs so far (exluding the printing) exceed $2500.

The project has been a huge challenge, but from here it's all looking good!
