Two super dorks take on South East Asia in order to walk towards sustainable fashion. Will they make it? Maybe. Probably. Well.....they'll at least die trying. No seriously, they could die.
Why risk their lives? There are a lot of awful stories about the state of the fashion industry. Think human exploitation and a whole lot of planet wrecking. Boo. It all just leaves you feeling a bit disempowered and dejected right? That’s why these adventurers want to bring you the GOOD stories about people working hard to make GOOD fashion. Fashion that doesn’t cost the world!
Our budding videographers are going to walk across South East Asia, meeting people and sharing their stories on YouTube. They want to encourage people to support a better fashion industry and maybe, if they’re lucky, start a bigger conversation about change. Big lofty ambitions? You betcha.
They’ll be heading off in October(ish) and expect that their adventure will take 12 months(ish).

The magical team at Dorsu have created these t-shirts for us, with Walk Sew Good on them and everything. The t-shirts are made from deadstock fabric (leftover fabric that would otherwise end up in landfill) and are sewn together by peeps in Cambodia that are treated fairly. Get one before all the cool kids and their man buns snap them up.

You and a friend, special or otherwise, will spend two nights in luxury accommodation at the beautiful Trentham Cliffs located on the Murray River. Guests must make their own way to the Mildura region and home. Included in the package is:

+ Gab as your personal tour guide/host

Team Walk Sew Good are putting a lotta love into this project, including their own money, but it just won't cover everything. Here's a summary of the basics:

We would love to surpass our funding target and make this project as incredible as possible. If we raise more moula it will be spent on the following:
At $12,000 Meg and Gab can enrol in a wilderness survival course that will help with the surviving part
At $17,000 Meg and Gab cover costs of accommodation
At $20,000 Meg and Gab can pay translators for their services - they really want to be able to do this!
At $40,000 Meg and Gab can hire a professional editor and buy all of the extra equipment needed

The Challenges
The biggest challenge for the girls is dying. This would be a huge obstacle because it is quite hard to walk when you are dead. They are going to avoid this challenge by staying alive.
This will mostly be done by
a) running from danger
b) dressing as men
c) urinating around their tent so the big jungle mammals don't eat them
and d) eating, drinking and sleeping
oh and e) staying in touch with their parents - or else they'd be killed
