Let's Meet At is a new social platform that connects foodies one-on-one.

The Let’s Meet At story started 6 years ago when I (Loretta) moved to Melbourne. Like many who land in Melbourne, you soon realise the foodie culture is infectious and consuming.

That’s exactly what happened to me, I was consumed, fascinated and hooked! I became a self-confessed foodie and it felt like coffee had replaced blood in my veins.

It was an exciting time but didn’t come without its challenges. I had left behind a close network of friends. I was in a city the size of my home country and I had no one to share it with.

So I looked online to meet new friends. I tried going to a few group events, but as someone who can be shy in groups, I felt uncomfortable. I tried traditional dating sites in the hope I would make new friends and at times, find love but they all seemed to come with expectation and suffered from very poor design. 

I was left thinking, "There must be something else out there, some other way to make new friends online!” but there wasn't. 

Move forward 5 years and I now have a wonderful group of friends, but they’re a very busy bunch. Team that up with a long-distance relationship and I once again found myself looking for new friends but, this time I was yelling, “THERE MUST BE SOMETHING ELSE!”

But there STILL wasn’t, so I decided that it was time to create an online community where people could connect one-to-one over food (or a drink or two) while supporting local food venues. It would fill the hole in the market for foodies looking to make new friends, those with dating fatigue looking to connect over food without the expectations, new-to-towners who wanted to build a social network, or those traveling who didn't want to dine alone.

It’s taken 18+ months of researching, designing, building, learning and it’s been an incredible journey so far. I’ve surrounded myself with an amazing team of people to get Let’s Meet At where it is today, and it's almost ready.

How Let's Meet At works

Let's Meet At is about connecting people with people, foodies with foodies! This is on a one-on-one basis through the site. It is up to the new foodie friends to decide where they will go to share their foodie experience.



Here's a sneak look at the designs - they are coming to life rapidly now as the development of the site is full steam ahead. You are guided through our easy three step Let's Get Started sign up - this creates your bio page and sets your search criteria.



Your bio tell other foodies about what you love, and maybe even your ultimate foodie confession. This is my actual bio I created when I signed up while testing the site - this is one smooth site to use!



Now you're ready to search for new foodie friends - you can search on all types of things including age, sex, reason why you joined, dietary preferences (e.g. meat loves, vegetarians, vegans and paleo).



Make connections and get chatting. Between you and your connection, you can start to plan where you'll meet and share your awesome foodie experience. Perhaps you'll share your local with them or you'll try somewhere new together, you know that place you have been dying to try forever, now you can with your new foodie friend!

This Pozible campaign will raise the funds to pay for the final development phase of the website - that means foodies, we can go live and you can start making new friends to explore new foodie venues with.

I'm committed to making Let’s Meet At the best I can for you. This is why I am reserving $2,000 to implement an amazing idea that comes directly from the feedback of one of our Founding Members. This could be a site development idea or feature that will provide an even better experience for all Let's Meet At's members. 

I need your help to raise $7,000 to make Let's Meet At a reality and go live. This is an all or nothing campaign – if the target isn't reached, Let's Meet At won’t receive the money pledged.
