Red Robin Supper Truck is an idea that came from a conversation around a few beers about a year ago. The three of us, Rory, John and Patience, decided to keep our eyes open for the right opportunity to work together - and earlier this year, that opportunity rolled along in the form of a one and a half tonne trailer; a huge kitchen on wheels!

We bought it! And then we thought, heck let's build a beer garden around it!

This is Queensland after all.

So come early 2015, Southside Tea Room will take over the shop next door and open Death Valley, an 8 keg tap house. The car park out back will become the home of the Red Robin Supper Truck!



While the location of the truck will stay the same, the menu will keep changing. Because truck is chef driven (pun intended) we will be cooking with the seasons to always give you a reason to drop in and try something new.

We want to convert what’s currently a dinky car park into our dream suburban beer garden, with decking, greenery, lighting and Yogi Bear style picnic benches for you to eat truck treats on!

We're also super excited to give the van a makeover with a new coat of paint and some good old fashioned hand painted sign writing. Then there's the boring stuff, like licenses, insurance and so on.

We're lucky to have leapt over the biggest challenge already with finding the truck. We love her and she's a beauty!

Now we need to build her an equally good deck, but we’re up to it - this is Queensland - we know how to build decks! We have a bit of red tape to cut through but we've already had pre-approval to license the beer garden and after opening a few shops already, we're confident we can handle anything that's thrown our way!
