About My Song
On the 1st of August, I released my second song “Toughen Up Princess” from my latest EP “You Were The Stranger” to air across Australia. Produced by Country Music legend Bill Chambers and Co-Produced by myself, my first release in April this year, “You Were The Stranger” had success reaching Number 21 on the “Country Tracks Top 30”. My EP “You Were The Stranger” features five of my original songs in a country and bluegrass style.

Recently, I was lucky enough to record my first ever video clip for my original song!
“Toughen Up Princess” is a fun, hillbilly style song about teenage girls who just simply need to toughen up! In the video clip, I got the pleasure of mocking the petty Princess who always gets what she wants... but is still never satisfied. The film clip for Toughen Up Princess has been Directed by Victorian Company, Crestway Productions (owned by Golden Guitar winners Carter & Carter) and filmed in Adelaide, SA. The leading role is played by my sister Ebony, who has won several acting awards at Eisteddfods in SA. I couldn’t have picked a better actor to play the Princess. Ebony played her part so well and was so believable, even David Carter from Crestway Productions asked Ebony if she is a ‘real life’ Princess!! I am so happy with all of the actors and the excellent job that they did. I can’t wait for the video clip to be released in September. Australian Country music fans will recognise one of the Actors; playing the Mother of the Princess is successful singer / songwriter Sandra Humphries.

I am hoping to introduce my music to a broader audience with the introduction of my first professionally produced video clip.
I chose to film my second single as I wanted to create a fun video that will entertain the viewer and make them laugh. I couldn’t stop laughing myself! We started at 6:30am and finished at 6pm but it was so much fun! After we had finished, I was still buzzing with excitement!
Here is one of the cast members, introducing Mango....... He was so well behaved and played his part like a true movie star!!

I have been working endlessly to support my music career. Recently, I have saved for my website, 2012 CMAA Australian Academy of Country Music Junior course fees, all advertising, production of my two CD’s in Adelaide and the production of my latest EP, “You Were The Stranger”. I work hard to raise funds for my music expenses through CD sales, busking and shows. It has taken me a long time to work for my Video Clip costs but I have only just met the half way point. I applied for Government Funding but I was unsuccessful. So, I decided to give Pozible a go. I would really appreciate any support. I know you will like the end result of the video clip. It is professional and will make you smile! We need more happiness in this world!
Thank you so much for reading this and taking an interest in my music.
How The Funds Will Be Used
As mentioned, I have paid for half of the Production of Toughen Up Princess, which paid for the filming in Adelaide, props and actors.
The funds raised in this campaign will be used to complete the Production of the film clip. Crestway Productions now have the long task of editing all the takes to create a high production film clip that will be viewed on YouTube and Foxtel’s Country Music Channel.
The Challenges
Releasing my first video clip will attract an audience that hasn’t heard my music before. I believe releasing a Video Clip is the next step in my career.
