I've been on a break for a few years now and in that time I've fallen in love, totally relaxed and have married the man of my dreams. Something else has happened though. I've begun singing songs that I really love. The ones that have moved me over the years. Whether they are songs that moved me personally or songs that meant the world to my grandmother, I've been really enjoying singing great music from the heart. And you know what, it makes me happy!

But there's another thing - I've been with my band now for nearly a decade and over the years, they have supported me both personally and professionally. I had a moment on stage recently where I stood back and watched them and thought "Man, this band is hot!" and I wanted to capture in a recording how good they are when they play live. They do it with absolute grit, determination and with huge smiles on their faces. I would like to show you how much fun we have together when we just relax and play. A good old fashioned live album. They are amazing and we make a great team.

So now, I'm completely independent and for the first time in my life, I have an opportunity to record songs I really love, with a band that I know can bring any house down. The thing is...I need your help to do it. It's funny you know, in the past, it's been my independent streak that has stopped me from asking for help but now, it's the fact that I am an independent artist which means I have to ask for help. So please.... Help!

On this album, I want to include music from people like Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson and maybe even some Stevie Wonder to name a few. And yes, I might do some of my own stuff as well. I hope you support the project because I'd really like to showcase these amazing musicians with songs that have been close to my heart since I was a child.

We have been already given some amazing deals by people in the industry who are wanting to see this project get over the line but we need your help to get the project across the line. The only way this project will fall over is if my bass player breaks a finger, my drummer breaks his leg, I lose my voice or the power grid to the world gets shut down and we don't have access to the studio. Seriously, illness is the only thing that can affect this project. I'll make sure everyone has their herbal tea and horse radish tablets so that they're ready and good to go for the session.
