The BROKEN CHEST music video introduces new artist OKENYO to the world. The video you see here is a teaser version of the song and now our team of creatives want to make the full version happen. WIth your help and generosity this can be achieved! The funds raised through Pozible will go to towards camera and equipment hire, location expenses & design and costume.

Concept ::

Loosely based on the Orpheus & Euridice myth, BROKEN CHEST is about dualities. The upper world and the underworld. It is a note to the audience, and a note to the singer herself. It’s about losing your other half and learning how to be whole again.

BROKEN CHEST is about how we physically exist in the real world, while negotiating the underworld of unspoken emotions.

Both contemporary and timeless, the BROKEN CHEST clip will capture the essence of OKENYO, picking up where the teaser trailer left off. Expressive, simple and dramatic, the video clip will be the journey of a single figure, a woman, through the underworld and out the other side, emerging strong, powerful and reborn - a new Amazon.

Using unexpected visual images and an editing rhythm that enhances the infectious beats of OKENYO, the BROKEN CHEST clip will instinctively capture and excite audiences, enticing them to dive deeper into OKENYO’s sound and aesthetic.
