Self empowerment comes down to two simple words, “know thyself”.  When you understand your cycle you can drive your life with connectedness and confidence.  You might have become accustomed to your anatomy being brandished as an enigma, out of control and unpredictable like the weather.  You may feel swept up at the mercy of your hormones and menstrual cycle, feeling frustrated, disconnected and at worst over-medicated.

This doesn't have to be how it is - an incredibly strong group of women from around the world, Kaggi and I (that's us, above) want to show you how to stand in the eye of the storm with an assured awareness.  To teach you not to battle your body; to track and appreciate it, to understand yourself beyond your senses, to know your health in relation to the cycles of the moon.

Our offering and invitation is that you give yourself 10 minutes a day, to yourself, for yourself, to check in using the Menstrual Charting calendar we have developed over the past thirteen years -

15 years ago Sh’ana and I gave birth to our babies an hour or so apart.   We were friends already but after our twins were born so closely we heard a call to create a year long women’s journey of deep womb based ritual and initiation.  The 13 Moons Blood Mystery journey was born in 2005 and with that an earlier version of this calendar was given to and used by all of the women in the circle to chart our rhythm and open up to the Mystery held within our bodies, hearts and wombs. 

Each new round of the 13 Moons journey has seen an evolution of the calendar and 13 years later we are launching a public version of this calendar which we hope will reach a wide audience.  This calendar can be used by anyone who is interested in becoming more connecteded with the feminine principle within.  Whilst this calendar is the perfect tool for deeply charting your menstrual cycle in an embodied way it is also extremely valuable for pregnant and menopausal women.  

This Calendar is designed to give you the opportunity to work within a more feminine framework of time.  The calendar will bring your awareness to the cyclic nature of time that moves within our body’s clock.  As a women, your cycle is a deep source of connection to nature and the charting of your moon flow cycle, or moonpause cycle if you are menopausal, can become an empowering spiritual practice.

Re-embering our ancient knowledge

The Women’s Mystery tradition is womb and earth based.  It is experiential in nature.  In every traditional culture girls would receive teachings and initiations as they went through puberty.  Our cycles and our wombs created the oldest of human calendars and we understood our bodies reflected the cycles of the Moon and the Earth. 

To bring you back to this ancient knowledge, the 13 Moons Calendar has been created to give you a framework for becoming more intimately familiar with the divinity of your body and all she has to reveal to you.   

As a daily practice, this calendar will assist you in connecting to your own rhythms and inner knowing, to come into more presence and balance in your life.  The calendar and companion guide are tools to connect deeply and honourably to your inner wisdom, to give a sacred context to your life's journey.

Q.  What prior experience do I need to use the calendar?
A.  You need no prior experience. All you need is curiosity and a commitment to 5 min a day to record what you are experiencing

Q. How much time does the calendar take to complete each day?
A. From as little as 5 mins to 20 minutes depending on how detailed you want your reflection to be

Q. What is the right way to fill out the calendar?

A. This is up to you - there are many ways and styles to fill out the calendar, maybe you like words and pen, maybe colour is your thing?  You will find what works by checking in and listening to your inspiration - trust in the process x

Q.  What is the best time to fill in the calendar?
A. Once in the morning and once at night is ideal.  Otherwise it’s best that you choose when it works best for you

Q.  What if I miss one or more days?
A. Missing a day or more tells you something in the fact that you missed it - this is part of the process, you may notice patterns regarding the times of the month you are less likely to check in.  Don't give up - if you only mark 4 days in a cycle this information is as valid as anything else

Q.  How can I get help interpreting my chart?
A. The patterns should become quite clear to you after just a couple of months.  If you wanted further insight you can check in with the online community and get reflection and information there

Q.  What if I get stuck and need help?
1.  Check in with the online community often if you are experiencing some difficulties there is sure to be someone else who has experienced something like it and that is a great source of help

Q.  What if I am in moon-pause (menopause) ?
A.  The Calendar is a powerful ally during peri menopause and menopause.  It acts as an an anchor when needed and acts as a great navigational tool in your new and changing inner landscape.  Through regularly using the calendar, it will reveal hormonal patterns that you may be unware of.  Bringing daily attention to your body is key to having emotional balance

Q.  Can I share my Chart or should I keep this private?
A.  It can be very revealing to others, so it’s entirley up to you.  It will give your partners an insight into your ever changing nature, if you are working in a Women's Circle it can be a powerful aspect in your sharing, and from the perspective of Holistic Practitioners, this information would be invaluable in their work with you.

Q.  I am not a native speaker, how can I get the calendar in my own language?  Eg Russian, French or Mandarin?
A.  Help us achieve our stretch goals as we plan to translate the calendar into languages other than English

Q.  Are there other resources to support me ?
A.  We have a downloadable companion guidebook in our 'Complete Woman' reward - this will extend your experience by giving you information about the intentions of each Moon, whilst offering you nurturing feminine practices and meditations

Our stretch goals are $20,000 to make the calender available in Russian, French and Spanish, with more languages possible when we get to this point!

At $30,000, we will begin filming and producing our Online Women's Mystery Course, to guide you even deeper on the journey, and bring you support, learning and understanding, wherever you are in the world!

Can we do it earlier?!  We will try!!  Though first we need you to join the campaign :D

Depending the scale of response, we have quotes from short run printers, larger volume printers and mailing management houses, as whilst we are happy to hand pack several hundred calenders, beyond that we need help!!

The other thing is, at scale, it becomes easier for us to engage professionals to support the calender distribution, where we could actually print in the US or Europe and use local distributors instead of shipping from Australia.

In this regard, our biggest challenge is getting the word out and connecting with communities of women - if you help us with this, by sharing this campaign, going to women who you consider leaders in your community and asking them to share this with their tribes, we will overcome, we will break through our target and change the lives of women all around the world!
