WHAT THE CRITICS SAID....
"It's a very strong ensemble with little to fault. Highlights include Hill's perfectly observed descent from cunning boy to uncontrollable monster, and Steve Bastoni's profoundly menacing career crim.""realistic Australian drama based on criminality and masculine violence tends to draw out our best male acting"
".Matthew Adey's ghostly lighting and the echo chamber of Robert Jordan's sound design create a desolating and impersonal atmosphere. Stuart Grant's direction ensures first-rate performances"
"It remains a compelling production that forces us to confront a world most ignore".
CAMERON WOODHEAD (The Age)
"The guarantee with this production, directed by Stuart Grant, is that you will leave the theatre feeling shaken and stirred."
"Standout performances from those who play Flannery's tormenters - John Brumpton, Paul Ireland and Adrian Mulraney. Tony Rickards is unforgettable in the role of a tortured prisoner"
Stars: ★★★★
DARREN DEVLYN (Herald Sun)
"I see a lot of theatre, but in that one small scene there was a more potent and sustained violence than perhaps anything I've ever seen on stage before. The violence dominated everything."

ABOUT THE PLAY
Penned by Christopher Dale Flannery’s former fellow inmate Ray Mooney, Everynight Everynight chronicles the journey of a teenage thug becoming a cold hearted killer.
Flannery, or ‘Mr Rent–a-Kill’, was one of Australia’s most notorious hit men. His story was told in the controversial 1995 television drama Blue Murder.
In the early 1970s, whilst still in his teens, Flannery was admitted to Melbourne’s Pentridge Prison and was very soon transferred to ‘H’ division, the maximum security wing.
Our sympathies are with the prisoners in this play. Our ‘civilized’ aversion to the cruelty of the guards takes us to a space where no questions are asked about what brought the prisoners to H Division, only the awareness that whatever their crimes may be, they are no worse than the guards who sadistically enjoy inflicting the regime of torture.
In spite of the intense nature of the material in this play, Mooney manages to include both levity and hope, and in doing so demonstrates the enduring and powerful nature of the human spirit.
