I am a singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Lissa Jayne. I grew up in Woodend, Victoria and have had a love for music all of my life. I spent much of my childhood performing in singing competitions. Here I am, aged 13. 

These days I love to write songs, mostly of which are dark in mood and lyrical content. I will be commencing the recording of my first EP in late May. I also peform live around Melbourne and plan to have a launch show for the EP when it is finished!

I've also performed at the Prince of Wales in St Kilda a few times over the last year. Supporting the live music scence is very important to me. When I am not performing I enjoy seeing live music at the vast array of live music venues around Melbourne! We are so lucky to live in the Music Capital!

To undertake the project of recording my first EP is a very exciting challenge. There has been a lot of learning involved about songwriting over the last couple of years. I have been involved in the Push Songs programme to receive advice about my songs and attend songwriting workshops whenever I get the opportunity. I enjoy discovering new ways of approaching songwriting and the challenges that songwriting brings. 

I am sure that the recording process will also bring its challenges. I am looking forward to the learning experience! It is all discovery.

As you could imagine, the entire EP recording process is financially challenging. I therefore thank you in advance for any contribution you wish to make.
