Please help us give a little girl with leukaemia the 'big girls bedroom' that she dreams of....

4 year old India (Indy) was too acutely ill to enjoy Christmas Day 2012. Her worried parents watched helplessly as the emergency team at the Royal Children's Hospital addressed her raging fever and evaluated her symptoms. By days end the devastating diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia was given. Shattered, her parents could not comprehend how their little girl had gone from playing in the park just days ago, searching for butterflies with her little sister Evy, to be fading away before their eyes, in the grip of this life threatening disease.

Thankfully Indy's medical team was able to stabilize her. Following a barrage of tests, a lumbar puncture and her first round of chemotherapy, Indy was released from hospital on New Years Eve (commencing a 3 year treatment plan to recovery).

2013 has been dominated by hospital visits, invasive procedures, and a plethora of medication (with gruelling side effects) for Indy. Her parents, who both work for a charity, now must manage on a single income while her Mum becomes her full time carer. Indy's little sister has had her world turned upside down as she has to take a back seat to the unrelenting timetable of treatment and care that Indy now requires.

Indy is too unwell and unable to mix with people outside of her immediate family. The risk of exposing her to germs is just to great while she undergoes cancer treatment. Indy spends most days in her bed snuggled up to her mummy, where she imagines that she is in 'a big girls bedroom' instead of the nursery that she shares with her 3 year old sister. Indy daydreams of bright colors - especially turquoise, with butterflies!

The story of brave little India and her dreams of a 'big girls bedroom' fell on the ears of Melbourne Personal Stylist Daniel Hugh Manning (http://www.danielhughmanning.com), and Children's Interior Decorator Nicole Rosenberg at Little Liberty (http://www.littleliberty.com). they have offered their time and talent (free of charge) to make India's dream of a 'big girls bedroom' a reality. They will make sure her little sister Evy loves it too.

We now need your help, will you help us raise $5000 for Indy's 'big girls bedroom' makeover? Please donate and make a big difference to Indy's world. Thank you for reading about her plight and considering this project.

Any remaining funds raised will go towards helping Indy and her family with medical and living costs.
