Watch the short film Ruby's Balloon "A Nightmare in Chalk" and if you like it, help us make the longer version!
A young woman, struggling with the pressures of growing up, forms a life-changing friendship with a beautiful, red balloon that has a personality of its own.
Ruby's Balloon is inspired by the 1956 film, The Red Balloon (Directed by Albert Lamorisse) and has been our passion project for the past two years! Our aim is to tell a story that is visually entertaining and that reveals some of the hidden magic in the world that is often overlooked or forgotten about.
We want you to be involved in helping us bring this story to life! All you have to do is pledge your support by choosing one of the rewards categories on the right side of the page. Remember, every bit of support helps! Even if you can only spare five dollars, we'll appreciate it!
Your support will go directly towards getting our film made by allowing us to:
- Hire Equipment
- Secure Locations
- Dress/Build sets
- Source/Make Props
- Source/Make Costumes
- Feed the cast and crew
- Cover Travel Expenses
- Bring the Balloon to life!
A large amount of our budget will also be going towards bringing The Balloon to life! This will be achieved through a combination of practical effects and computer generated visual effects!
