WOODY just passed 100% funding!! AWESOME!! Thankyou to everyone who supported the film and helped push it over the line! If you always wanted to donate but didn't - there is still 8 days to go and lots the extra money can go towards - more money to prep art department including getting the concert piano printed 3D, exploding his dream piano and the Woody sign and shooting it with a slow mo cam, getting a motion control rig to achieve a super tricky shot, more lights, more time in the studio...the possibilities are endless!!

WOODY is a stop motion animated short film written & directed by Stuart Bowen and produced by Jodi Matterson. The film centres around Woody, a wooden doll who dreams of playing the piano, despite the fact that he only has wooden paddles for hands. Dissatisfied with his life and not being able to achieve his dreams, Woody often escapes into a dreamscape of wish fulfilment and 10-fingered success. One day however, his dreams gets out of hand...

We’ve been prepping this film over the last year and recently shot one minute of footage. We’re really excited to see the story start to come to life and can’t wait to share it with everyone. To realise the full nine minutes we need help to fund the rest of the shoot. We have a lot of industry professionals donating their time on this project, but we need funds for studio hire, camera/lens hire, lighting and equipment hire. Stop motion is a very time consuming process and it will take a further ten weeks to complete the film. By becoming a supporter of WOODY, you get to be part of the process by getting updates on the project’s progress as well as some sweet rewards which are listed here on the website.

Check out the video above for more details including 1 minute of footage from the final film. Please share this project with friends or family who may be interested in Woody’s quest, every little bit counts!
