Moving Music is an Urban Safari which leads its audience through the city of Adelaide on a mystery tour that features elements of live music, design, performance and visual art mashed into a smorgasbord of experiential delights for curious humans.

The tour first donned its khaki shorts and pith helmet in the perfect summer of January 2012, dabbled its feet again in the pond with another pilot tour in April 2012 and finally became a man (with moustache) grown with the tour becoming annual in January 2013.

Moving Music will make you protest against car transport, divulge your secrets, love thy stranger beside you and rid ourselves of all preconceived notions of what might happen next as you walk around the nestled grid structure of Adelaide.

Featuring an array of artists across varying creative fields, this tour settles itself into the framework of the urban design surrounding it. Pathways are marched by parades, alleyways fill with amps and tunnels echo new kinds of tones.

When organising an independent event, there are always risks and challenges in many shapes and forms.

Securing a public space for private use, dealing with a variety of stakeholders with competing demands, keeping our audience safe and sound as we traverse across a city landscape... these are all familiar challenges that our team for Moving Music accept on a day to day basis.

Our team is made up of young professionals who are all developing their networks across the city of Adelaide. When we don't know how to solve a challenge, we speak with those who have been there before. We think of risks ahead of time, implement a risk assessment plan and hope that we don't have to use it.
