We all want to think global and buy local.

Lots of us appreciate the taste and health benefits of eating organic fruit and vegetables. Many want to reduce food miles, support local farmers and the local community as well as maximising the food values by eating truly fresh farm produce.


Synchronicity Farm is a project to build and manage a local food hub based in Nana Glen, offering local, organic, heirloom and hard-to-find fruit and vegetables as well as dry goods and nature's super foods.

Future plans (most already under construction) include the creation of a community facility for educational workshops on organic farming, permaculture, worm farming, aquaculture, compost tea, shiitake mushroom farming as well as a bread and pizza community oven.

Backpackers and other travelling farm workers visit the farm and work in exchange for a fabulous lunch of hand picked produce in a variety of hot and cold dishes as well as a large box of fruit and vegetables to take home.

Enthusiastic permaculture farmers behind Synchronicity Farm, Josh and Tomoko spend their weekends selling fresh Orara Valley produce, much of it heirloom and organic, at the Harbourside Markets and Nana Glen General Store. They also plan to share their farm and the food grown with love with people on low incomes in the community by hosting 'long table lunches'

You can support the creation of this full-time farm-gate produce stall and food hub that stocks the freshest produce in the Orara Valley by investing as little as $12.

All investors will be rewarded - choose from future supplies of Synchronicity Farm fruit and vegetable boxes, vouchers to use in the shop and at the market stalls or great t-shirts and shopping bags. Most rewards deliver more than your original investment in fresh food.

The only catch is you only have until 24 October, 2013 to invest in this Synchronicity farm project.

All Pozible projects are based on pledges of support and if the target is not met, then all pledges are invalid and the project cannot proceed.

If the Synchronicity farm crowd-funding target is met, the farm-gate product stall and local gourmet food hub will open as soon as early 2014, as a farm building is already available.

Deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables may be arranged in Coffs Harbour and surrounds as well as the online store which will be available for some products and other items that can be sent anywhere.

Asides from the many people who have already pledged their support, the teachers and students of Grafton TAFE College have been inspired by Synchronicity Farm to build a coolroom as a student project.

SYNCHRONICITY FARM: Our Story by Josh and Tomoko Allen

Since April 2008, we have been focused on developing our farm into a productive food producing property. It has been a great success. It was always our aim to feed our children and produce a surplus of heirloom vegetables which are organic, local and absolutely delicious.




In December 2011, a friend with real foresight motivated us to start the Synchronicity Farm Market Stall and share some of the exceptional produce that we had grown.

We had always had a particular interest in unusual produce and also heirloom produce (grown from seeds saved from the past before hybrids and ‘supermarket’ tough fruit and vegetables came onto the market.).

Those early days filled us with excitement to be able to share the food that we had grown ourselves. The reaction from our first few customers was electric. We decided to double our efforts and expand our gardens. The market stall we run now is every Sunday down at the Harbourside Markets in Coffs Harbour. Our customers started loving what we stood for and they asked for more.

We had great fun displaying our produce in creating “works of art” at our stall that always brought a smile to everyone that stopped in.



A year later in early January 2013, our neighbors and friends in the Orara Valley started asking Synchronicity Farm to offer more local produce without the need to travel to town markets. The Nana Glen General Store gladly agreed to have a Synchronicity Farm Market Stall open on Saturdays outside their store.

The reaction from local customers was a resounding "Thank You" and we started to receive many words of encouragement and compliments to refine and expand our business. The enhancements have included additional product lines, specialty items, exotic seasonal produce and through furthering our connections with local farmers including family hobby farmers with exceptional produce, the mix between food that we had grown, food from other local growers and the food that we sourced from larger farmers markets began to swing to more local, shorter times between harvest and sale, and also the maintenance of our policy for purchasing the only the highest quality food available at a fair price to the farmer and our customers.



In order to be able to satisfy our customers and new local suppliers, Synchronicity Farm needs to install a “Cool Room” on-farm to store food and a modest and clean retail outlet

We are looking for support from you to help Synchronicity Farm to grow to the next stage in our evolution so that we can continue to share our passion for great food and increase the diversity and availability of produce for the local and surrounding communities.

It is our sincere belief that Synchronicity farm has proven to you that we have a long term vision and we are completely determined to continue to produce, source and deliver first class food for many years to come.

We see Synchronicity Farm becoming a central food hub which genuinely promotes the Orara Valley as a food producing region with the potential to feed the growing population while consistently stocking fresh, local, organic food.
